A bathroom is the smallest room in the house and the most unforgiving. Water gets behind tile that was set without a proper substrate, the waste line under a 1930s slab is not where the drawings say it is, and a fixture that moves eighteen inches turns a cosmetic refresh into a plumbing permit. Contractors who do bathrooms occasionally learn those things on your job. We built the crew the other way around, so the tile setter, the plumber and the person pulling the permit have all done this same room hundreds of times. It also means we can quote tile, a vanity or flooring as its own job rather than folding it into a remodel nobody asked for.
